Tips and tricks

• Soak the tights in water, put them in a bag and place in the freezer overnight. In the morning, remove them and let them thaw in a warm and dry place. Freezing tights before first wear strengthens the fibres, making them less prone to tearing.
• Don't forget foot care, use pumice to keep the skin on your feet smooth. Make sure you don't have frayed nails (on hands or feet) and cracked heels. To be safe, remove rings and bracelets with stones. The fibres of delicate tights need very little to damage them.
• Clear nail varnish can stop a spreading ladder. Alternatively, you can use hairspray to strengthen the tights.
